OSHC 要保到哪天：学生签证期限表逐行读
买海外学生健康保险（OSHC）时要选起止日。起保日好办，难的是终止日：只买到结课那天够不够？内政部有一页专门讲学生签证的批签期限（Student visa grant periods），答案在里面。
第一句：签证期限会看 OSHC 的到期日
The length of stay is based on the course you intend to study. Additional time may be granted at the end of the course depending on its length. The 'expiry date' of your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) (and any welfare arrangements, where relevant) will also be taken into account. At minimum OSHC must cover the course length.

两层意思：OSHC 的底线是覆盖课程期间；课程结束后额外给的那段时间，也要有 OSHC 才批得出来。同页还提醒：签证结束日一经批出不能更改，买保险时要把这一点算进去。
期限表：三档

表格原文用的是「通常」（usually）。同页另外写明：学生签证最长一般不超过 6 年；研究型研究生为了论文评审，通常再加 6 个月；1–4 年级开始就读的小学生一般最长 3 年。

「结课日加 2 个月」遇到月底时本站取目标月最后一天（例如 7 月 31 日加 2 个月记为 9 月 30 日），这是本站的算法约定。
只买到结课日会怎样
以第一行为例：OSHC 买到 2028-12-31，覆盖了课程期间，满足「至少覆盖课程长度」的底线；但比估算的 2029-03-15 早了两个多月。按期限页的写法，签证可能只批到保险到期日，而批出后不能改。所以首页工具对这种情况标「需自行核实」，而不是「满足」。
如果 OSHC 终止日早于结课日，就连底线都没过，工具标「不满足」。
起保日：入境当天，不是开课那天

同一段还写：不要在 OSHC 生效之前入境；入境时无法证明有医疗保险的，可能被拒绝入境。提前一两周到澳熟悉环境的，保险也要跟着提前。

这是学生签证上的一条签证条件，断保就是违反条件。卫生部的私人医疗保险网站也写明，OSHC 欠费期间就医可能无法理赔；学生签证到期后不能再持有 OSHC。
只有三类学生可以不买 OSHC：由挪威国家保险计划覆盖的挪威学生、由 Kammarkollegiet 覆盖的瑞典学生、由互惠医疗协议覆盖的比利时学生。随行家属同样要有 OSHC，原文建议有家属的买家庭保单。
